Thank you for your interest in volunteering or completing a student placement with North York Community House. Due to recent federal funding cuts, we have temporarily paused all new volunteer recruitment and student placement intake as of March 31, 2026.

Assist staff in our programs with greeting and registering participants, individual and group support, mentorship and more. Click on the links below for volunteer roles.

For Groups
As a United Way Anchor Agency, we offer Days of Caring group volunteer opportunities in May/June and Oct/Nov, specifically geared to United Way supporters. If you’re interested in a volunteer event with us at NYCH, please connect with us or your United Way representative.
Looking for an engaging corporate/group volunteering or team building activity? Why not make a difference through our NYCH KITS FOR A CAUSE PROGRAM. Help assemble “care kits” for individuals in our community. This program was developed specifically to accommodate groups of all sizes, whether you're volunteering with friends, family, colleagues, or on your own, from groups of 5 to 5,000, your contribution directly impacts our community.
