Peer Outreach Leadership Training

Meet and Engage with your Community!

The Peer Outreach Leadership Training will build the capacity of community residents to engage their community through effective outreach. This interactive training series includes workshops on understanding community needs, community resources, how to make referrals, and effective outreach strategies.

Participants will be supported to engage in a community action, get to know each other, learn about each other’s communities and lived experiences, and receive support to access needed services.

Workshops include:

  • Overview of newcomer needs

  • Equity & Anti-Discrimination

  • Communication & Outreach Styles

  •   Conflict Resolution

  • Introduction to Community Resources

  • Effective Outreach Strategies

A certificate of participation will be awarded upon completion.
