I appreciate your encouragement to volunteers, it is so important for us; we have to pass the attitude to our newcomer friends to let them feel more confident.
We love our volunteers! At North York Community House, volunteering provides a valuable resource to the agency, its members, staff, participants and community. Without the skill, generosity and commitment of our many volunteers, it would be impossible to maintain the range or quality of our services. We are very grateful to our amazing volunteer team!
There are many benefits to volunteering at North York Community House, including:
- Knowing you have helped to support others in the community
- Attending monthly workshops to gain new skills and knowledge
- Having fun and meeting new people
- Increasing your knowledge of social and immigrant issues
- Enjoying opportunities to share your skills, knowledge and experience with others
- Receiving a reference letter for your volunteer work
We are always looking for new volunteers to support us in different ways:
