In addition to the direct work we do in the community, NYCH has been developing and supporting initiatives that generate profit, but that also have a social benefit – in other words, ‘business for good’.
Our Delightfully Yours Catering service is available to other organizations, companies and the public. The profits go back into the businesses, to train and employ people from the community, and to sustain our other work.
NYCH also supports newcomer women who are interested in starting their own small businesses. We provide training on legal requirements for starting a business in Canada, work with them to develop business plans, and connect them with other entrepreneurs and mentors.
